The second multilateral "Mutual learning" workshop was held in Brussels on the 24th and 25th April 2006.
The aim was to build on the first workshops' results by:
- Further exploring the potential of Foresight to move into areas of strategic support for policy by adding a specific phase (adaptive Foresight)
- Exploring the practical difficulties arising when fulfilling the functions for policy identified in the first workshop (link to these outcomes/functions)
Thirteen experts took part in the workshop. Four examples were analysed in depth to underpin the theoretical conclusions. In preparation for the workshop an online discussion was set up to open the debate. The results of the workshops were compiled into practical guidelines to be included into the FOR-LEARN online Foresight guide. These guidelines will be further developed jointly with the participants.
